Thank you for visiting our website. At Hills Road we are committed to offering the best possible
teaching and the strongest possible guidance within a caring College community. High expectations
and strong support, combined with dedicated staff of the highest quality, ensure that students are
able to develop self confidence, to fulfil their potential and realize their aspirations. We are
proud of our students’ many achievements including their outstanding examination results. Our two
most recent Ofsted inspection reports awarded a grade 1 (‘outstanding’) for all areas inspected.
We have also been awarded Learning and Skills Beacon status which recognises the high quality of
student support, of teaching and learning and of leadership and management; as well as our commitment
to sharing good practice. The College has a happy and purposeful atmosphere and there is a real
sense of partnership between staff and students.
If you wish to find out more about the College, or if you wish to receive our prospectus,

Mrs Linda Sinclair
Welcome to Hills Road from the Student Council. The Council is a group of people who have been
elected by the students of the College to represent you. A new Executive Committee is elected by
students every year in February. This Committee is responsible for voicing the students’ views;
it meets once a week and minutes of these meetings are made available to all students.
Our aim is to serve the student body in a variety of ways, but all with the focus of supporting the
interests and beliefs of those at Hills Road. In order to make everyone’s time at Hills Road as
enjoyable as possible, we liaise with staff, keep in touch with student issues and listen to what
you have to say. The Student Council also provides specific services, such as social and charity
events and financial support for students.
Student Council members can be contacted by email: student_council@hillsroad.ac.uk or by phone
